Ginger Baker book
The Ginger Baker book ‘A drummer’s tale’ was produced to highlight Ginger’s last band tour in 2015. Friedbanana was approached by Espresso Songs Ltd (Marshall records) to create the full print album and artist book package.
It was quite an exhaustive but amazing project to collate all of Ginger Bakers 60’s and 70’s artwork to include in the book design. Old photos (some old kodak slides that needed developing!), 60’s clothing and Cream, Blind Faith band gear.
Nettie Baker was amazing helping us to photograph and collate everything all huddled around an old oak table. Ironically, the same table that Hendrix, Clapton, Ginger and friends had famous dinner parties on – far out man!
Ginger Baker book
A full colour scrapbook was designed with never seen before family photos and memorabilia. This included, a lovely card from Linda and Paul McCartney. Plus an old phone book (Peter Sellers, Eric Clapton/ Jack Bruce’s old phone numbers amongst others were inside). This was packaged with a full colour x2 disc vinyl record and Full colour booklet including a x6 page CD digipak.
