“The new album by the legendary We’ve Got a Fuzzbox and We’re Gonna Use It started off when Maggie Dunne came up with a concept for a cinematic soundtrack style album originally called The Lift. The idea being that the Lift will transport the listener onto different floors, taking them into precarious situations involving the likes of serial killers and their method of thinking.
Utilising the skills of Mike Bennett, who has produced Toyah Willcox, Hazel O’Connor, Ian Brown, The Fall, The Specials and many more, the album was put together alongside electronic virtuoso Gary Watts of Nature of Wires. But, after protracted deliberation it was decided that the idea of the concept album was not working as initially planned…”
